CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) - SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR ALL MEMBERS
Your health and well-being are our highest priorities. We are monitoring this situation closely and communicating with medical professionals, the Maryland Department of Health (MDH), and other government agencies to stay on top of this evolving situation.
Information is changing rapidly. Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)website to keep up with the latest details, tips, and symptoms.
Currently, there is not a vaccine available for COVID-19, but University of Maryland Health Advantage will cover testing for coronavirus and any treatment if your test is positive.
As with any illness, call your doctor if you are feeling sick. You should also call your doctor if you experience symptoms of coronavirus—fever, cough, and trouble breathing—or if you think you may have been exposed to the virus.
Alert on Over-the-Counter Items during COVID 19 Pandemic
Currently, there is a high demand for various supplies needed to combat the COVID-19 virus. As a result, Medline, our over-the-counter supplies vendor, has placed quantity limits on several items to ensure a minimum amount of these supplies is available for all customers.
Some of the products are hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, and thermometers.
We apologize in advance for the inconvenience, and we hope that the inventory for these products is restored soon.
During the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we’re all attempting to adapt to new routines and schedules as we adjust to our new social-distancing lifestyle.
We recommend all seniors use a free program that provides a daily check-in telephone call at a scheduled time. Click here for more information on how to register Senior Call Check Program or call 1-866-50-CHECK.
